Today's Word of Blessing

GOD’S PERFECT PLAN

One who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out. Their king will pass through before them, the LORD at their head.    (Micah 2:13)
Dearly beloved, God has a perfect plan for your life. The Bible declares, “One who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out. Their king will pass through before them, the LORD at their head” (Micah 2:13).

These days, people are unable to succeed in their endeavours due to many hurdles and hence they live in tears. Even more pitiable is the plight of those who seek the help of human beings to remove these obstacles. Human beings can give various suggestions and confuse us. They can never bring a real solution to our problems.

Only the Almighty God can remove all hurdles and bring blessings in our lives. Always bear in mind that He is the One who created the entire universe and there is nothing impossible for Him.

The Bible states, “This far you may come and no farther” (Job 38:11). Only the Almighty God could say the above mentioned words to the waves of the sea. Today, are you lamenting over the hurdles that are before you? Let me dwell at length as how to inherit God’s blessings through His promises.

The devout Job said, “I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted” (Job 42:2). Lord Jesus Himself testified about Job saying, “Job is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.” Even he had to go through severe afflictions in life. All his ten children perished on the same day. He lost everything including his property on the same day. Above all, he lost his health.

Job was afflicted with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. He took a piece of broken pottery and scrapped himself with it. His own friends started humiliating him. Moreover, his own wife ill-treated him and told him to curse God and die. Even in that situation Job said, “The Lord is able to do everything. His plan cannot be thwarted.”

Are you going through afflictions and losses in your life just like Job? Kindly do not be worried. Although he lost everything in life, he had great confidence and faith that the Lord Almighty could do everything and remove all the hurdles which were before him. Do you have the same faith and confidence?

Our God is the Alpha and Omega (Revelation 1:8). He says, “I am who I am” (Exodus 3:14). He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). So do not make a mountain out of a mole hill and glorify your problems. Job was very confident even in that pathetic situation. He said, “Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face” (Job 13:15).

God’s plans cannot be thwarted. He will certainly go before you, remove all hurdles and fulfill His purpose for you.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You are able to do everything. No plan of yours can be thwarted. I seek your help. I place my faith and confidence in You. Only You can remove all hurdles and bring blessings in my life. There is nothing impossible for You. Please resolve all my problems. Go ahead of me, remove all hurdles and fulfill your purpose for me.

Amen.

Today's Word of Blessing

ABIDE IN LOVE

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.    (1 John 4:16)
Dearly beloved, God is love. He revealed His unconditional love by sacrificing His Son on the cross for us so that we may live.

The Scripture speaks out, “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him” (1 John 4:16).

Lord Jesus said: "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love” (John 15:9, 10).

Devout Joshua said to the Israelites: “So be very careful to love the LORD your God” (Joshua 23:11). To love God is to abide in His love. Do we so abide?

Lord Jesus said: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength” (Mark 12:30). Do we love God with all our heart? Let us examine ourselves.

Look at the life of Lord Jesus. Did He abide in love? It is because He did abide in His Father’s love that the Lord exalted Him! The Father, besides glorifying Him, also testified about Him as the Son of God: "And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased" (Matthew 3:17). “While he was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, ‘This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!’" (Matthew 17:5).

What a great testimony is this! When we too abide in God’s love, He will say of us: “He/ she is My beloved son/ daughter, in whom I am well pleased.” When we keep the commandments of God, we abide in His love.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You demonstrated your unconditional love for mankind on the cross. Come and dwell in me. Help me to abide in your love. Enable me to keep your commandments so that I may remain in your love. Help me to live a life that pleases You. May I find favour in your sight. Enable me to love others just as You have loved me.

In Your matchless name I pray.

Amen.

GOD REVIVES US

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.    (Psalm 34:18)
Dearly beloved, the Bible says, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3). Lord Jesus said, “…It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick” (Matthew 9:12).

The Scripture states, “For this is what the high and lofty One says-- he who lives forever, whose name is holy: ‘I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite…. I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will guide him and restore comfort to him’” (Isaiah 57:15-18).

I present below the testimony of Chitra, a brokenhearted person.

“When I was in my college, God has done many miracles for me. Although I have received the Holy Spirit, I went away from God when I was in my final year. I was leading a life which was not pleasing in the sight of God and hence I lost my anointing. Then I started praying for God to anoint me with His Holy Spirit again. But my prayer was not heard.”

“It was at that juncture I firmly believed that if I attended the Jesus Calls Prayer Festival conducted in Chennai during the month of September, the Lord would restore his anointing upon me. However, I could not attend the meeting due to the long distance. But the Lord graciously helped me to watch the live telecast of this meeting through the Jesus Calls TV Programme. I watched that programme with great longing and a broken heart.”

“While Sis. Evangeline Paul prayed she said, “Lord Jesus, whoever prays to you for whatever blessing now, please listen to their prayers and grant it to them.” I too joined her and cried out to God saying, 'Lord, please fill me with Your Holy Spirit and grant me the gift of tongues.' The Lord who saw my broken heart, immediately filled me with His mighty Holy Spirit. I give all glory to Lord Jesus.”

The Bible says, “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). When we come before His presence with a humble and contrite heart, He will not despise us. He will come and dwell in our hearts and resurrect us. He will also grant us His peace and joy.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You are the mighty Lord. You are the holy Lord who lives forever. Have mercy on me. I have wandered away from You. Now I come before your presence with a broken heart. I need your help to lead a holy life. Come and live in me so that I may live. Heal my broken heart and grant me your joy and peace. Guide me and restore comfort to me.

In Your matchless name I pray.

Amen.
