Today's Word of Blessing

GOD'S ABUNDANT BLESSINGS

The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.     (Proverbs 10:22)
Dearly beloved, when you lead a righteous life, the Lord will be pleased with you.

The Bible relates, “In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil” (Job 1:1). The Lord Himself testified about Job saying, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil." (Job 1:8).

The Scripture says, “May the Lord be with those who do well” (II Chronicles 19:11). “He delights in those whose ways are blameless” (Proverbs 11:20).

The wife plays an important role for a family to lead a successful life. The Bible says, “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD” (Proverbs 18:22). “The wise woman builds her house” (Proverbs 14:1). “A prudent wife is from the Lord” (Proverbs 19:14). So a wife should be a woman of virtue who will bring goodness to her husband. She must do all her work dutifully and sincerely for him as well as the family. Only then her family will be blessed.

What about Job’s wife?

When Job faced afflictions one after the other, his wife said, “Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die” (Job 2:9). But He continued to cling on to God saying, “But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold” (Job 23:10). “Though he slay me yet will I hope in him?” (Job 13:15).

The Bible says, “He who trusts in the Lord will prosper” (Proverbs 28:25). Accordingly, the Lord blessed Job in double measure (Job 42:10). Because he trusted in the Lord, He blessed him in an abundant measure.

What about Job’s friends?

The Bible says, “A friend loves at all times” (Proverbs 17:17). A true friend loves at all times. But look at the friends of Job. They mocked at him and hurt his feelings. But still he was not perturbed. The Lord who blessed Job, who went through so much of afflictions, will certainly bless you also.

Proverbs 10:22 says, “The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.” As stated in the above verse, the Lord deliver you from your troubles. He will grant you abundant prosperity.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You are my refuge and strength. You are an ever-present help in trouble. I will trust You at all times. Help me to lead a blameless life at all times. Help me to remain steadfast in my faith. Let my life be pleasing to You. Deliver me from my troubles. Bless me in double measure. Grant me abundant prosperity.

I ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen.

Today's Word of Blessing

THE BLESSING OF LONG LIFE

He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.    (Psalm 91:15)
Dearly beloved, life is a gift from God.

In those days, King Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. Prophet Isaiah went to Hezekiah and said, "This is what the LORD says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover." It was then that Hezekiah cried out to God to remember him.

My father’s lungs were affected in the year 1969. So he would keep on coughing and vomiting blood. I would be near him all the time. I was just seven years old at that time.

Every night, I would have a dreadful dream. In that dream, I would see the body of my father being kept in a coffin in the school where I studied. A funeral band with various musical instruments would be playing the music all over the campus.

I would also feel the waves of death hitting me and my father’s mortal remains. Suddenly I would wake up, scream and hug my father tightly. Now and then, I would touch him to see if he was alive. Every night, I would get this dream repeatedly. So daily I would return from school with great fear.

Some who came to pray for my father falsely prophesied to him: “Brother, you are nearing death. The Lord Himself revealed to me that your ministry has come to an end.” Their words broke our hearts.

Here we see God giving a true prophecy to Hezekiah that he would die. Just imagine how he would have felt at that moment. He turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, “Remember, Oh Lord how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes” (Isaiah 38:3). The Lord heard his prayer and added 15 more years to his life.

The Lord says, “He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him” (Psalm 91:15). According to the above Bible verse, when you call upon the Lord, He will come to your rescue. He will honour you with long life.

The Bible says, “Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away” (I Corinthians 13:8). Yes, love will never perish. God loves you. He has a great future for you. You will never die before your time. You will reveal the excellence of God to this world and do great and mighty things for Him. You will certainly have long life. So be of good cheer.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You are the source of life. I call upon You for your help. Remember me in your mercy and look upon my suffering. Hear my prayer and see my tears. Send me your healing power and save my life. Restore me to health and add years to my life.

I ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen.

Today's Word of Blessings

THE GRACE TO SERVE GOD

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.    (2 Corinthians 9:8)
Dearly beloved, God’s grace is infinite.

Through my marriage, I got united with this great family which is serving God. I was not sure whether I would do His ministry at all. But the Lord never allowed me to remain like that.

Before marriage, my parents and relatives told Bro. Dhinakaran, “She is a timid person. How will she do the Lord’s ministry?”

But my mother-in-law Sis. Stella Dhinakaran said, “I too was a timid person. During the initial stages, when Bro. Dhinakaran used to preach mightily from the stage, I would go and sit in a corner. But the Lord began to use me in His ministry gradually. In the same way He will use you also.”

Accordingly, the Lord has showered His grace upon me who was a timid person, and today, He is using me mightily in His ministry. He will certainly increase His grace in your life and use you as well in a greater magnitude.

The Bible says, “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work” (II Corinthians 9:8). As mentioned in the above Scripture verse, God is able to make all grace abound in your life.

You may be an ordinary person. But God will give you His grace to serve Him. He will use you as His mighty vessel to bring glory to His name. He will bless you to lead a fruitful life. His blessings will overflow in your life. He will make you a blessing for others.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

Your grace is sufficient for me. Give me the grace to serve You. Use me as your mighty vessel to bring glory to your name. Bless me to lead a fruitful life. May your blessings overflow in my life. Make me a blessing for others. I give You all glory.

I ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen.

Today's Word of Blessing

HUMBLE BEFORE GOD

God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.    (James 4:6)
Dearly beloved, God is gracious to the humble. He blesses them with riches, honour and life.

In Luke 18:10-14, we read about a Pharisee and a tax collector who went to the temple and prayed. The Pharisee prided in praying: “God, I thank you that I am not like other men--robbers, evildoers, adulterers--or even like this tax collector” (Luke 18:11).

Pride very often prevents the Lord from listening to our prayers. The Bible states, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6, Proverbs 3:34).

There are some who become bloated with pride on receiving the anointing of the Holy Spirit. When they pray with that pride, the Lord resists them. Remember the fate of Herod. The Bible relates, “Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died” (Acts 12:23).

Once I read a tragic story. Many fantastic miracles were performed through a couple so mightily used by God. Once while they were ministering in a foreign country, they were taken to a demon-possessed woman kept captive in a house.

They went straight to her, and placing their hands on her rebuked the devil: “Wicked spirit! Come out. Hasten away to hell!” The woman got up, caught hold of the sister and gave her a jolt. She was seized with a frightful disease that same instant, and since then her body is trembling all the time. What a great pity!

Dearly beloved! Let us be cautious in our lives. Let us humble ourselves before God. It is our gracious Lord Jesus who performs signs and miracles and wipes our tears! So let us fall at His feet each day and implore, “Lord! You are my everything. Grant me your grace!” He will hear our prayers and be gracious unto us!

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

I come before You in humility and seek your divine blessings. I honour You with all my heart. I choose to serve You with fear and trembling. I am your humble servant. Use me as your vessel to bring glory to your name. Give me your grace and favour. Bless me with riches, honour and life.

I ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen.

Today's Word of Blessing

CHRIST OUR REDEEMER

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: ‘Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.    (Galatians 3:13)
Dearly beloved, Lord Jesus Christ offers eternal redemption.

A young sister named Rachael had accepted the Lord as her Saviour in her childhood. But she could get her partner only from a family of nominal Christians. She lived in sorrow and bitter disappointment. Yet she waited and prayed at the Lord’s feet, and with God’s grace tried to win her husband’s family to Christ.

At first, her pious way of living was a matter for fun and wonder to all around her. But in course of time, the love of Lord Jesus seen in her drew them all to Christ.

In that family, all the daughters-in-law were childless. So when Rachael entered the family, everyone told her that she too would not have a child. She was greatly depressed. She prayed in tears that the Lord should bless her womb. The Bible says that children are a reward from God (Psalm 127:3). Accordingly, the Lord blessed her and made her fruitful. There was great joy in the family.

Others saw a ray of hope. They all began wrestling in prayer along with Rachael. Praying for everyone with great burden, she turned every soul to Christ. She initiated everyone in prayer and Bible reading. The Lord lifted the curse that lay over that family. The other daughters-in-law also conceived soon and received the Lord’s blessings.

Even today, in this same manner, Lord Jesus is ready to bless our individual as well as family lives. Are you by any chance passing through any such curses? Lord Jesus Christ is ready to redeem you from such curses and shower His blessings upon you.

The Lord says, “As you have been an object of cursing among the nations, O Judah and Israel, so will I save you, and you will be a blessing. Do not be afraid, but let your hands be strong" (Zechariah 8:13). The Bible reveals, “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: ‘Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.’" (Galatians 3:13).

Let us acknowledge: “Lord! You became a curse for my sake. You were broken for my sins and iniquities. You were offered as a trespass offering and wounded for my diseases. Thank You dear Lord!” Make a decision: “Hereafter, I shall cling to You alone! I will live for You alone!”

The Bible states, “The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it” (Proverbs 10:22). May the Lord Himself, according to His promise, renew your lives and crown them with His blessings!

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You are my Redeemer. You became a curse for my sake on the cross. I believe in You and receive your forgiveness by faith. I place my faith in You and receive my deliverance from all curses. Renew my life and crown me with your blessings.

I ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen.

Today's Verse

I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

Today's Word of Blessing

THE DOUBLE BLESSING

I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.    (John 14:12)
Dearly beloved, God will remove the hindrances from your life and grant the double portion of His blessing to you.

Before the Israelites could enter the promised land, the Lord made them to cross the Jordan river. As soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge, the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap and the Israelites crossed over (Joshua 3:10-17). The Lord miraculously opened a way for them.

When the LORD was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind, Elijah and Elisha were on their way from Gilgal to the Jordan river. Fifty men of the company of the prophets were watching them (II Kings 2:7). They were discouraging Elisha. They asked him, “Do you know that the Lord is going to take your master from you today?” He replied, “Yes I know, but do not speak of it.”

Elijah took his cloak, rolled it up and struck the water with it. The water was parted to the one side and to the other (II Kings 2:8). Elisha did not listen to the discouraging words of those men. His attention was fully on God. Thus the water divided and they could cross over the river.

As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind. Elisha saw this and cried out, “My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” (II Kings 2:11,12). It was at that time the spirit of Elijah came upon Elisha in double measure. Immediately, Elisha became a totally new person.

Dear friend, sometimes, you may also face hindrances through such people. They may try to discourage you. But the Lord who does miracles will be with you and help you.

Naaman, the commander of the Syrian army, was sent to the Jordan river in order to be cleansed from his leprosy (II Kings 5:14). It was in the very same river Lord Jesus got baptized before He began His ministry (Matthew 3:13). The same Holy Spirit who came upon Him on the shores of the Jordan will also come upon you. When that happens, you will be transformed into His likeness (II Corinthians 3:18).

Lord Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father” (John 14:12).

The Holy Spirit is willing to transform you into the image of Lord of Jesus. He will make the people of this world to see Him in you. He is waiting to grant you the double portion of His blessing. So sanctify yourself today. Start praying for your friends and those who despise you. Then He will certainly bless you in double measure and use you mightily for His glory.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You are the Lord who does mighty miracles. I trust in You at all times. Remove the hindrances to my blessings. Let the double portion of your anointing come upon me and transform me into your likeness. Display your power and glory through my life. May I receive twofold blessing.

I ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen.

Today's Word of Blessing

BLESSING THE FAITHFUL

A faithful man will be richly blessed    (Proverbs 28:20)
Dearly beloved, God is faithful in keeping His promises. He has called us to be faithful to Him.

I always used to feel proud of my husband. Initially, I lost two of my children. Only then our son Paul Dhinakaran was born. When he was a little kid, my husband would not have time to play with him. He was very careful in spending all his time in spiritual activities.

I still remember the day when he had nearly 10 minutes to spare before he left for office. Even in that little time, he did not choose to spend his time with his son. Instead, he wanted to spend even that time in the presence of God. Since we were living in a tiny house, he knelt down in a corner and cried out to God saying, “Lord, I need Your power to do Your ministry mightily.”

The Lord who was watching his faithfulness transported him to heaven for the first time. He was taken to heaven in the spirit and there he saw the Almighty God. The Lord asked him, “What do you want?” My husband replied, “I need the gifts of the Holy Spirit.” The Lord granted him the gifts of the Holy Spirit and fulfilled his desire.

When you spend all your spare time in the presence of God, the Lord will look at your faithfulness and exalt you in this world.

Dearly beloved, it is because of the faithfulness of Bro. Dhinakaran the Lord has blessed the Jesus Calls ministry today. He has helped us to establish this ministry all over the world. The Bible promises, “A faithful man will be richly blessed…” (Proverbs 28:20). As stated in the above Bible verse, the Lord will honour you for your faithfulness and richly reward you with His priceless blessings.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You are faithful. You never fail to keep your promises. Give me a faithful heart. Help me to obey You always and carry out your will in this world. Help me to remain faithful in little things. Bestow your rich blessings upon me. Honour my faithfulness and richly reward me with your priceless blessings.

I ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen.

GOD REJOICES OVER YOU

The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.    (Zephaniah 3:17)
Dearly beloved, the awesome, mighty, incomparable, victorious and compassionate God who has the power to save you is with you on this day.

God is in the midst of you and is always approachable. The Bible says, “The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you…” (Zephaniah 3:17).

God lives in unapproachable light (1 Timothy 6:16). Normally, no man can enter into His presence. However, our loving Lord Jesus Christ says that He can take us to the Father.

He says, “My dear children! Ask in My name for anything and I will give it to you.” That is why, whenever we make our supplications to our heavenly Father, we offer it in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Through Him, one can enter into the presence of the Almighty God.

The Lord says, “But I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people” (Jeremiah 7:23). The Bible says, “For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: ‘I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.’ ‘I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty’ (2 Corinthians 6: 16, 18). The Lord longs to walk and dwell with you as a mighty God to pull you out of all your troubles.

When my sister Angel passed away, we wept. One day, the Lord spoke to us through the Holy Spirit: “My children! I am also crying with you. Don’t think that I am hard-hearted. If I were to explain the reason as to why I allowed this, you will not understand. At the right time, you will understand it. You must understand that now I am also weeping with you.” Truly, He weeps along with us when we weep.

It is recorded in the Bible that Lord Jesus Christ did weep along with Martha and Mary. Only after that he questioned them, “Where have you laid Lazarus?” Lord Jesus went to the tomb where Lazarus was laid and cried out, “Lazarus come forth!” Lazarus came out as a living soul.

Lord Jesus Christ rejoiced upon seeing the overwhelming happiness on the faces of Martha and Mary when Lazarus was brought back to life. This is the wonderful heart of our Lord Jesus Christ. He wants to see us happy. It was for this purpose He had suffered on the cross at Calvary.

Lord Jesus has destroyed the powers of sorrows, sickness and sin. Today, when you cry out to Him, “Lord! Save me from sin, sickness and devil,” He will descend as a mighty God in your midst to deliver you. He will delight in your deliverance.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

I confess that You are with me as a mighty warrior. Help me to place my trust in You to be strengthened always. Grant me the anointing of the Holy Spirit that I may be strengthened to do good works throughout my life. Help me to watch and pray. I trust that Your only begotten Son is the Bread of Life and He shed His blood to cleanse me of my sins. On this day, may the joy of the Lord be my strength.

I ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen.

Today's Word of Blessing

YOUR NEW LIFE IN CHRIST

Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.    (Isaiah 53:4)
Dearly beloved, when Lord Jesus Christ comes into your life, you will become a new creation.

The Bible states, “The whole world is under the control of the evil one” (1 John 5:19). There is disorder and confusion everywhere. Amidst that, our Lord assures everyone of us: “See, I am doing a new thing! (Isaiah 43:19).

If there is one who can help us it is Lord Jesus Christ, the blessed Son of the God of gods! For the Bible says that He Himself bore all our sins and sufferings on the cross.

He asks so boldly: “Can any of you prove me guilty of sin?” (John 8:46). Yes, the Bible says: “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jealous folk heaped false charges on Him and crucified Him. Very often, we wonder why this fate befell the blessed Son of the God of gods. It was for you and me that He passed through all those travails.

Today, as we pass through sorrows and sufferings, pains and perils, the Lord our beloved Father tells us: “My child! For your sake, I have borne all your sufferings on the cross. Grieve not! It is for you that I passed that way and patiently bore all the travails. So, you need not be anxious about any suffering that may befall you. I who bore your sufferings will lead you through them. I will wipe away your tears and comfort you in all your sorrows.” How great a blessing is this!

The Bible says, “Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted” (Isaiah 53:4). Place your faith in Lord Jesus Christ and invite Him into your heart. When He comes and lives in you, He will make everything new in your life.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You are the blessed Lord. You passed through the travails on the cross to give me a new life. I believe that You gave your life for me. Help me to forget the past and look to the future with hope for You have promised me a bright future. Let all my former sufferings pass away. Make everything new in my life.

I ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen.

Today's Word of Blessing

GOD LOVES THE FAITHFUL

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.    (Isaiah 40:29)
Dearly beloved, the Bible assures, “A faithful man will be richly blessed…” (Proverbs 28:20).

Sometimes our love for God is tested. (II Corinthians 8:8). Even Abraham was tested in the same manner. The Lord heard the prayer of Abraham, had compassion on him and blessed him with a lovely son. But He wanted to test the love of Abraham. Hence He asked him to sacrifice his son. Abraham did not hesitate to sacrifice his son. He loved God much more than his son.

The Almighty God was very much pleased with his love. He felt so proud of Abraham. Abraham came out victorious in the test of love. The Bible says, “…In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us” (Romans 8:37).

Dearly beloved, when you too face such trials and temptations in your life, cling on to Lord Jesus and love Him with all your heart.

After I got married, I lost two children one after another. Only then the Lord graciously blessed me with two children. One is my son Paul Dhinakaran and the other is my daughter Angel. You can easily imagine the agony I had gone through when I lost my precious daughter at the age of 17. As a mother I cried over her body. I firmly believed that the Lord would never let me down and He would somehow raise my daughter and use her in His ministry. But He had other plans for us. He did not resurrect my daughter. My heart was broken to pieces.

At that juncture, just like Abraham I showed much love towards God. Even without my knowledge, I surrendered myself completely for God’s ministry. Of course, even today I go through agony when I think about my daughter. At the same time, when I look at the face of God, I am filled with His love and that helps me to forget my sorrow. That was how I have passed through the last 26 years.

Probably, you have also gone through such losses and sorrows in your life. Please do not waste your life by crying over your losses. The Lord who sees you will certainly help you to come out of your sorrow.

The Bible says, “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak” (Isaiah 40:29). It adds, “Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted” (Hebrews 2:18). Lord Jesus said, "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world" (John 16:33).

Cling on to God who will help you to do everything (Philippians 4:13). He will strengthen you to bear all your sorrows. You will be amazed at His guidance. When you love the Lord with all your heart and please Him in everything, He will shower His richest blessings upon you.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You manifested your love for mankind by laying down your life. Help me to be faithful in my love towards You. Help me to live by faith during times of trial and overcome them. Make me a conqueror by the power of your might. Let nothing separate me from your love. Confer your richest blessings upon me and fill my heart with joy and peace.

I ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen.

THE PEACE OF CHRIST

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.    (Philippians 4:7)
Dearly beloved, the Lord gives peace that transcends all understanding.

The Bible comforts us saying, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6,7).

Lord Jesus also says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14:27). According to the above mentioned Scripture verses, Lord Jesus Christ will grant us His divine peace which transcends all understanding.

By the immense grace of God, both my husband and I were united in holy matrimony. The first thing both of us did was to surrender our lives into the hands of God. From that moment, He also united Himself with us and divine peace began to prevail in our family. We lived happily for 48 years and all through those years, we were filled with divine peace. Above all, the Lord graciously helped us to bring this divine peace upon countless families.

How to receive divine peace?

The Bible says, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:1,2).

Lord Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life. So let us run our race patiently in this world. He is the author and perfecter of our faith. He says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

Dear friend, leave all your worries and pray to God with thanksgiving. Place all your burdens upon Him and He will care for you (I Peter 5:7). Above all, He will fill you with His divine peace which transcends all understanding.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You are the Prince of Peace. Your peace surpasses all understanding. I know that You are in control of everything. I trust that You are with me all the time. I place all my cares upon You and wait for your deliverance. May I be comforted by your presence. Let your immeasurable peace flow into my heart. I give You all honour.

I ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen.

GOD’S CHOSEN VESSELS

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.    (1 Corinthians 1:27)
Dearly beloved, God displays his power and wisdom through the weak and lowly vessels of the world.

Before my marriage I was a timid person. I was very weak and did not have wisdom also. When the parents of my husband started searching for a suitable partner for him, he expressed his desire to have a tall person as his wife.

He strictly told them that his partner should be at least 5’ 6” tall. Hence they were searching for a tall bride for nearly three years. Finally, they found me. Since I was 5’ 7” tall, they were very happy.

When they came to our house and asked for me, I was really scared. I did not know how I would be able to live in that family which was serving the Lord mightily. The thought of ministering to thousands of people was haunting me. However from that day onwards I started praying, “Lord, I can do nothing. I am a village girl. Please fill me with Your wisdom.”

By the immense grace of God, He filled me with His wisdom. Today, I am able to do His ministry in various countries. He is using me as a mighty weapon to bring consolation to countless people. I am really amazed at the way the Lord has chosen me, a weak vessel, to do His ministry. How true is the following promise of God: “God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong” (I Corinthians 1:27).

Of course, I was a weak and shy person. I did not have wisdom. But it is the Lord who called me for His ministry. He who called me will certainly call you and bless you also. He will bless your family through you. He Himself will go before you. He will grant you His treasures of wisdom and knowledge and use you mightily for His glory.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

I praise You and glorify You. Wisdom and strength come from You. I surrender my life to You. By your immense grace, grant me your wisdom and strength. Bless me with success in all areas of my life and exalt me before all eyes. Use me as your vessel to spread your divine love to others. May your name be glorified through my life.

I ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen.

THE BLOOD OF REDEMPTION

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.    (1 John 1:9)
Dearly beloved, when you believe that Lord Jesus came into this world to lay down His life for you, you will be saved.

The Bible says, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1).

There was a young prisoner who loved his mother very much. He was sentenced to death on account of a terrible crime committed by him. Usually, a pastor would visit the prisoners, who had been sentenced to death, in order to talk to them about salvation and forgiveness. He would also give them each a copy of the Bible.

In the same way, a pastor met this young man as well and gave him a Bible. He told him, “My son, read this Bible tonight and you will receive peace.” But that young man became very wild and threw the Bible away in front of the pastor.

The young man could not sleep that night. There was absolutely no peace in his heart. Finally, somehow he slept and he had a dream. In that dream, he saw his beloved mother lovingly inviting him. When he got up and ran to her, he saw a wall arising between both of them. Hence he could not meet his mother. He looked at that wall intently. Only then he realized that all his sins, iniquities and transgressions were written on that wall. He was shattered.

Suddenly he got up and took the Bible presented by the pastor. He opened it and his eyes fell on the following verse: “…The blood of Jesus, His Son purifies us from all sin” (I John 1:7). He believed in this promise of God and started confessing all his sins to God that night. He was filled with divine peace and slept peacefully.

The next morning, the jailor and others came to take him in order to hang him. Normally, those who have been sentenced to death would not be able to sleep at all the previous night. They would be going through much agony. But this young man had slept peacefully with a firm belief that he would go to heaven and meet his mother there after his death. The jailors had to wake him up from his deep slumber.

Yes beloved, this is how the precious blood of Lord Jesus will cleanse you from all your sins. The Bible says, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool” (Isaiah 1:18).

Today, many have lost their peace on account of their sins. Their conscience speaks to them (Romans 2:15). The Scripture assures, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

Today cry out to God saying, “Lord, please cleanse me with your precious blood and grant me the joy of your salvation.” Then the Lord who forgave the young prisoner will certainly cleanse you also from all your sins and grant you His divine peace.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You are the Lamb of God. By your divine grace, You shed your blood on the Cross for the salvation of mankind. You took away the sins of the world. I accept your sacrifice and receive You as my Saviour. Make me righteous through your blood and give me everlasting peace. Grant me the joy of your salvation and the gift of eternal life.

I ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen.

WONDERFUL COUNSELOR

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.    (Psalm 32:8)
Dearly beloved, our God is wonderful in counsel (Isaiah 28:29). He says, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you” (Psalm 32:8). The Lord sees those who have been forsaken by everyone. He shows them the way they should walk. He keeps His eyes upon them and instructs them.

Recently, I had been to Singapore to do the Lord’s ministry. I spoke about Jabez in one of my meetings. His mother had named him Jabez saying, “I gave birth to him in pain.” Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory. Let your hand be with me and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request (1 Chronicles 4:9,10). This was the crux of my message.

One of the sisters who heard my message that day, came running to the dais in order to share her testimony to glorify God. She said, “Today, I have lost everything and I am literally on the street. I do not know what will happen when I return home.”

“Inspite of my agony, I came to this meeting with great expectation. I firmly believe that today’s message was given only for me. Although I have lost everything in life, today God has filled my heart with His divine joy and peace. I am confident that the Lord who sees me will certainly bless me in double measure just as He blessed Jabez.”

After a few days, I received a phone call from the pastor of the church who arranged that meeting in Singapore. He told me, “Sister, do you remember that person who shared her testimony as to how she lost everything in life and how your message was a blessing to her? Today, God has blessed her in an abundant measure and she is leading a happy life.”

In the same way, God saw the tears of Hagar. The angel of the Lord found her near a spring in the desert and asked, “Hagar, servant of Sarai, where have you come from, and where are you going?” She answered, “I am running away from my mistress Sarai.” Then the angel of the Lord told her, “Go back to your mistress and submit to her.” Hagar obeyed His words and returned to her mistress. She delivered a child at the right time and her family was blessed (Genesis 16:15).

Even today, the Lord is looking at you. He wants to be with you and guide you. When you obey His instruction, He will supply all your wants and bless you.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You are wonderful in counsel. You are the Lord who sees me and knows my situation. Trusting in your faithfulness, I submit my life to You. I choose to obey your words and live by your counsel. Guide me with your divine counsel and enable me to experience your wonderful grace. May blessings follow me all the days of my life.

I ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen.

THE GLORY OF REDEMPTION

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.    (John 3:16)
Dearly beloved, Lord Jesus came to the world to redeem us.

Every human being entering this world is born in sin. Even a new born child, after a few months, feels jealous if its mother carries or hugs another small baby. Though it cannot express the jealousy within words, it shows it by crying.

As the baby grows, it refuses to share its toys with other children. This is what the Psalmist says in Psalm 51:5, “And in sin my mother conceived me.”

Because a man is born in sin, he surely needs redemption from sin. That is why some people offer the blood of goats, cows and other animals as an offering to be redeemed from sin. But this can never give them permanent redemption. Therefore, our Almighty God sent His only begotten Son into this world as the propitiation for our sins (John 3:16, 1 John 3:1).

Though I was born in a Christian family, I did not receive the free gift of salvation. I was only a nominal Christian. One day, when I was alone, I was longing for the love of my parents. And that was the time Lord Jesus came in search of me. He filled my heart with all His love. The same day He became my closest Friend.

He not only gave me this free gift of salvation in my life but also started using me as a tool to enable others to receive salvation. How great is the love of our God! The Lord who gave this blessing of salvation to me and my family members will also bless you so that you can be redeemed from sin.

Dear Friend! Today, the same love will redeem you and give you freedom from the slavery of sin and lusts of this world. Yes, our God is impartial and not a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34, Galatians 2:6, Romans 2:11). God is eagerly waiting to redeem you with the blood He has shed on the Cross. Without any prejudice He wants to give freedom from a life of sin, curse, anger and evil in your life.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You gave your life for my redemption. Help me to understand the glory of Your redemption. Accept me as Your child. Let Your divine will be fulfilled in my life also. Further, use me as Your vessel to help others to be redeemed from sin. Give me the grace to live for your glory.

I ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen.

THE HOLY SPIRIT GUIDES US

In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.    (Acts 2:17)

Dearly beloved, the Lord has promised, "…My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest" (Exodus 33:14). Moses prayed, “If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people" (Exodus 33:13).

When Moses cried out to God, “Lord, You have called me by name and I have found grace in Your eyes. You are going before me. Hence show me Your way,” the Lord graciously showed Moses His way (Psalm 103:7).

God has planned everything for us. He has planned as to how we should walk, what we should do, whom we should marry, etc. He is our Heavenly Father. He says, “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).

All we have to do to receive His blessings is to know His way. He gives us His Holy Spirit only to show His way.

The Bible says: “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams” (Acts 2:17). “This is what the LORD says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: 'I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go'" (Isaiah 48:17).

When we plead with God to show us His way, He will open our eyes and show us the way. When we walk in His way, we will be blessed.

After the home call of my father Bro. D. G. S. Dhinakaran on 20th February 2008, I was standing near his coffin. Nearly one million people came to pay their last respects to him. All of them unanimously cried, “Father, you have left us.” Only then I realized that doing the Lord’s ministry is not just preaching a message or bringing miracles or singing a few songs. It is much more than that. We must know the plan of God for the people and reveal it to them. We must lead them just like a father.

From that day onwards I started praying, “Lord, what should I do? My father revealed Your plan to the people, ministries and the nation. Now who can be a father to them?” I cried like this for 23 days. The Holy Spirit came upon me mightily on 14th March 2008 and told me as to what I should do and what will happen in the world. That day, He revealed His grace to me and strengthened me to be a blessing to others.

When we know the will of God and do it, we will receive His blessings. Balaam said, “The oracle of one whose eye sees clearly” (Numbers 24:3). In the same way, God will open our eyes also. He will pour His Spirit of prophecy into us and enable us to know His will. Through that, we can enjoy rest and we do not have to worry about anything. When we do whatever He says, He will give us more and more rest.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You are my Heavenly Father. You have planned everything for me. Pour your Spirit into me. Open my eyes and show me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Teach me to do your will that I may receive your blessings. Strengthen me to be a blessing to others.

I ask this through Christ our Lord
Amen.

LIVING IN VICTORY

The LORD watches over you-- the LORD is your shade at your right hand    (Psalm 121:5)
Dearly beloved, the Bible assures, “The LORD watches over you-- the LORD is your shade at your right hand” (Psalm 121:5). God loves you and watches over you all the time. He is ever ready to help you.

The Bible says: “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:37-39).

We go through bitterness in this life. Some people even try to commit suicide. Committing suicide is not a solution to all your problems. It is the love you have for the Lord which will enable you to lead a victorious life. The Bible says that God is love (I John 4:8 and 16). Our loving God will never allow us to suffer for long.

Consider the life of Esther. Suddenly, she had to face a storm in her life. Haman, a cruel man, wanted to destroy the Jews completely. He also had the support of the king. So no one could question him. When Esther heard about his treacherous plan, she clung on to God. She and her friends sought the face of God with fasting for three days. She poured out her heart at the feet of God.

She cried out to God according to the following Scripture verses: “Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin; pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord” (Lamentations 2:19). “I cry aloud to the LORD; I lift up my voice to the LORD for mercy. I pour out my complaint before him; before him I tell my trouble” (Psalm 142:1,2).

The Lord heard her prayer and granted her a new hope and new confidence. With the help of God, she began to act. The Bible says, “He did this today with God’s help (I Samuel 14:45). The Lord was with Esther and protected her (Isaiah 52:12). Finally, Haman and his family were destroyed by the king and the Jews were saved.

The Lord will do the same for you also. Probably, you are going through tribulations in your life. May be you are going through agony as a result of your failures. You must learn to look only at Lord Jesus. Although Esther was a queen, she humbled herself and fasted in the presence of God for three days. Many people lose all their hope and keep crying all the time. Many others go to various places seeking deliverance due to their ignorance.

Dearly beloved, do not indulge in activities that do not please the Lord. They will only drag you into sin. Lord Jesus is eagerly waiting to remove all your afflictions. He says, “You can do nothing without me.” When you abide in Lord Jesus Christ, He will make you a conqueror.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You are my Deliverer. I call upon You in the day of my trouble. I cast my cares on You. I trust You to get through this trial. Standing firm in my faith, I pray for my deliverance. Deliver me from this trial in your name and authority. Let my faith in You bring me victory.

I ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen.
