GOD'S ABUNDANT BLESSINGS

The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.     (Proverbs 10:22)
Dearly beloved, when you lead a righteous life, the Lord will be pleased with you.

The Bible relates, “In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil” (Job 1:1). The Lord Himself testified about Job saying, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil." (Job 1:8).

The Scripture says, “May the Lord be with those who do well” (II Chronicles 19:11). “He delights in those whose ways are blameless” (Proverbs 11:20).

The wife plays an important role for a family to lead a successful life. The Bible says, “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD” (Proverbs 18:22). “The wise woman builds her house” (Proverbs 14:1). “A prudent wife is from the Lord” (Proverbs 19:14). So a wife should be a woman of virtue who will bring goodness to her husband. She must do all her work dutifully and sincerely for him as well as the family. Only then her family will be blessed.

What about Job’s wife?

When Job faced afflictions one after the other, his wife said, “Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die” (Job 2:9). But He continued to cling on to God saying, “But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold” (Job 23:10). “Though he slay me yet will I hope in him?” (Job 13:15).

The Bible says, “He who trusts in the Lord will prosper” (Proverbs 28:25). Accordingly, the Lord blessed Job in double measure (Job 42:10). Because he trusted in the Lord, He blessed him in an abundant measure.

What about Job’s friends?

The Bible says, “A friend loves at all times” (Proverbs 17:17). A true friend loves at all times. But look at the friends of Job. They mocked at him and hurt his feelings. But still he was not perturbed. The Lord who blessed Job, who went through so much of afflictions, will certainly bless you also.

Proverbs 10:22 says, “The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.” As stated in the above verse, the Lord deliver you from your troubles. He will grant you abundant prosperity.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You are my refuge and strength. You are an ever-present help in trouble. I will trust You at all times. Help me to lead a blameless life at all times. Help me to remain steadfast in my faith. Let my life be pleasing to You. Deliver me from my troubles. Bless me in double measure. Grant me abundant prosperity.

I ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen.

Today's Word of Blessing

THE BLESSING OF LONG LIFE

He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.    (Psalm 91:15)
Dearly beloved, life is a gift from God.

In those days, King Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. Prophet Isaiah went to Hezekiah and said, "This is what the LORD says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover." It was then that Hezekiah cried out to God to remember him.

My father’s lungs were affected in the year 1969. So he would keep on coughing and vomiting blood. I would be near him all the time. I was just seven years old at that time.

Every night, I would have a dreadful dream. In that dream, I would see the body of my father being kept in a coffin in the school where I studied. A funeral band with various musical instruments would be playing the music all over the campus.

I would also feel the waves of death hitting me and my father’s mortal remains. Suddenly I would wake up, scream and hug my father tightly. Now and then, I would touch him to see if he was alive. Every night, I would get this dream repeatedly. So daily I would return from school with great fear.

Some who came to pray for my father falsely prophesied to him: “Brother, you are nearing death. The Lord Himself revealed to me that your ministry has come to an end.” Their words broke our hearts.

Here we see God giving a true prophecy to Hezekiah that he would die. Just imagine how he would have felt at that moment. He turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, “Remember, Oh Lord how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes” (Isaiah 38:3). The Lord heard his prayer and added 15 more years to his life.

The Lord says, “He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him” (Psalm 91:15). According to the above Bible verse, when you call upon the Lord, He will come to your rescue. He will honour you with long life.

The Bible says, “Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away” (I Corinthians 13:8). Yes, love will never perish. God loves you. He has a great future for you. You will never die before your time. You will reveal the excellence of God to this world and do great and mighty things for Him. You will certainly have long life. So be of good cheer.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You are the source of life. I call upon You for your help. Remember me in your mercy and look upon my suffering. Hear my prayer and see my tears. Send me your healing power and save my life. Restore me to health and add years to my life.

I ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen.

Today's Word of Blessings

THE GRACE TO SERVE GOD

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.    (2 Corinthians 9:8)
Dearly beloved, God’s grace is infinite.

Through my marriage, I got united with this great family which is serving God. I was not sure whether I would do His ministry at all. But the Lord never allowed me to remain like that.

Before marriage, my parents and relatives told Bro. Dhinakaran, “She is a timid person. How will she do the Lord’s ministry?”

But my mother-in-law Sis. Stella Dhinakaran said, “I too was a timid person. During the initial stages, when Bro. Dhinakaran used to preach mightily from the stage, I would go and sit in a corner. But the Lord began to use me in His ministry gradually. In the same way He will use you also.”

Accordingly, the Lord has showered His grace upon me who was a timid person, and today, He is using me mightily in His ministry. He will certainly increase His grace in your life and use you as well in a greater magnitude.

The Bible says, “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work” (II Corinthians 9:8). As mentioned in the above Scripture verse, God is able to make all grace abound in your life.

You may be an ordinary person. But God will give you His grace to serve Him. He will use you as His mighty vessel to bring glory to His name. He will bless you to lead a fruitful life. His blessings will overflow in your life. He will make you a blessing for others.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

Your grace is sufficient for me. Give me the grace to serve You. Use me as your mighty vessel to bring glory to your name. Bless me to lead a fruitful life. May your blessings overflow in my life. Make me a blessing for others. I give You all glory.

I ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen.
