Today's Word of Blessing


EXALTED BLESSINGS

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.    (Psalm 1:1)
Dearly beloved, the Lord has promised us that He would fill us with His bounty. He says, “I...will make you prosper more than before. Then you will know that I am the LORD” (Ezekiel 36:11). 

The Bible says, “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers” (Psalm 1:1). When our ways are pleasing to God, He will shower His blessings on us. So let us praise Him with all our heart.

Joshua was a student of the Karunya University. Today, God has blessed him in an abundant measure. He is running a company. One time, he arranged a function in order to give the awards for the best staff of his organization. He invited me and my husband to be the Chief Guests for the function. 

After giving away the awards, Joshua stood up and testified, “I started my company in a very difficult situation. But today, God has blessed my organization in such a way that we have branches in many parts of India. Lord Jesus Christ is the only reason for my success.”

“When I studied in Karunya, they taught me to do everything after a prayer. Accordingly, every day I would start my work with a word of prayer. In the same way, I close my office only after offering praises and prayers to God. I also make all my co-workers to pray. Many who are in the same field as mine, have lost a great deal of money. Nonetheless, the Lord has blessed me and exalted me in life.” When we heard his amazing testimony, we too joined him and praised God.

When we seek the Lord diligently, He will bless all our undertakings. Our difficult situations will turn around to our benefit. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28). 

He will protect us from difficult situations. “ ‘Because he loves me,’ says the LORD, ‘I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.’” (Psalm 91:14). He will bless the work of our hands and prosper us according to the following bible verse: “May the LORD bless you from Zion all the days of your life; may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem” (Psalm 128:5).

The love of God is so great! He will give everyone of us this love. When His love is poured into our hearts, we will be exalted. So let us praise God with all our hearts for choosing us, calling us, glorifying us and making us righteous.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You have promised to bless me with your bounty. Help me to lead a righteous life that I may receive your blessings. I need your grace to live a blameless life. Let my ways be pleasing to You. Deliver me from my problems. Turn around difficult situations to my benefit. Bless the work of my hands and prosper me. Grant me success in all my efforts.

Today's Word of Blessing

EXPERIENCING GOD’S GLORY

"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."    (John 8:12)

Dearly beloved, when the glory of God comes upon you, your life will be transformed.

The Scripture says, "The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!” (Matthew 6:22,23). According to the above mentioned Scripture verses, the eye is the lamp of the body and if your eyes are bad, then your whole body will be full of darkness.

I John 2:16 talks about the lust of the eyes. In the coming days, you shall see lustful things happening everywhere in the world and on account of that, the life style of people will change. The wicked devil will bring darkness upon millions of people through the lust of the eyes in an unprecedented manner. That will not only harass them but also make them helpless.

On the other side, Lord Jesus says, “My glory will rise upon people. I will send My glory upon them and protect them. The lust of the eyes will not harm them because I am the light of world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the Light of Life (John 8:12). When the devil brings darkness upon the people through the lust of the eyes, My people will see Me, who is the Light of the World.” Yes, you will certainly see Lord Jesus and become like Him!

Probably, you have not seen Lord Jesus till now. But you will certainly see Him. You will see Him in all His glory. Then your eyes will be shut to the lust of this world. You will walk in His light even amidst the darkness of this world. No darkness can ever cover you and the glory of God will come upon you.

The Bible exclaims, “And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit” (II Corinthians 3:18). You shall receive glory upon glory through the Spirit of God. You will not only walk in light but also be transformed like Lord Jesus and thus you yourself will become the light. Seeing your life, people will start following Lord Jesus Christ, the Light of this world. Their lives will be transformed. Today, you will receive that grace through the Holy Spirit.

The Bible declares, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14). When He comes into you, the darkness of this world can never touch you. He will also transform you just like Him and the glory of God shall rise upon you.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You are the Light of the world. Enable me to walk in your light that I may have the light of life. Surround me with your glory. Protect me from the powers of darkness. Fill me with your Spirit and transform me into your likeness. Make me holy and righteous. Let all those who see my life be drawn to You. Let their lives be transformed.

Today's Word of Blessing

A BOUNTIFUL GOD

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.    (Romans 8:37)
  Dearly beloved, God has abundant blessings in store for us. He assures, “…My people will be filled with my bounty… (Jeremiah 31:14). Accordingly, He will certainly satisfy us with His blessings.

The people of this world long for a good job, especially a government job, to earn a lot of money. They are not satisfied with anything. On the other hand, the Lord tells us, “I shall fill you with My bounty.”

Let us now meditate as to how the Lord satisfies us.

The Scripture reveals, “For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form” (Colossians 2:9). According to the above mentioned Scripture verse, the Lord blesses us from His bounty.

It is God’s desire to fill us with His abundance because He is full of love (I John 4:16). He fills us with His bounty so that we can understand His love. The Scripture says, “May have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:18,19).

Once while my husband and I were praising and praying together, I had the greatest privilege of seeing Lord Jesus face to face. He stood in our midst for more than an hour. When I looked at His face, His love was poured into my heart. I could not bear the depth of His love. Unable to control myself, I began to shed tears. My heart was filled with His amazing love.

The Bible says, “…God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us” (Romans 5:5). God’s love is poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. He fills us with His bounty that we may know the depth of His love. It is His desire to fill us with His abundant blessings.

Once a newly-made submarine was being tested. When the testing was over, one of the officials asked the pilot of the submarine, “Sir, you were inside the sea in the submarine for such a long time. Yesterday there was a heavy storm. Did it affect your submarine?” The pilot replied, “I did not know anything about the storm or the cyclone. I was sitting in my submarine peacefully.”

In the same way, we are able to live peacefully when we are filled with the abundance of God. The following Scripture verses also testify the same: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?...No in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:35,37). The love of Lord Jesus Christ helps us to triumph over all our afflictions. Even Paul the Apostle says, “Christ’s love compels us” (II Corinthians 5:14).

Therefore, let us seek the Lord diligently and love Him with all our heart. The Lord will certainly fill us with His abundance and love. When He dwells in us, no man or no devil can come against us. They can never touch us (Luke 10:19). He will not only protect us but also crown us with His goodness. He will satisfy us with His richest blessings.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

You are full of love and mercy. It is your desire to fill me with your abundance and love. Pour out your love into my heart through the Holy Spirit. Crown me with your goodness. Fill me with your abundance. Satisfy me with your blessings. Help me to triumph over my afflictions. Let nothing separate me from your love. Help me to live in peace.

Today's Word of Blessing

ENDURING TO THE END

Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.    (John 15:4)
  Many years ago, there broke out a war between Greece and Rome. Determined to capture Greece anyhow, the Roman soldiers fought so fiercely. But, alas! In the end it was Greece that won. To communicate this news of victory to their country, a swift runner was chosen by the Greek army.


Athens, the capital of Greece, was 26 miles away from the battlefield. The messenger ran so heartily and entered the city. He called the people shouting: “Rejoice! For we have won the war!” and made all of them rejoice. Even as they all broke forth into joy, unfortunately, he fainted and fell dead on the spot. He could not endure to the end and join the victory celebrations.


In this same manner, in our Christian life, we are racing towards God and the eternal life which He gives. However, the Lord says: “All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved” (Matthew 10:22). “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved” (Matthew 24:12,13).


When trials and temptations, sins and iniquities assail us, how are we to endure to the end and obtain the crown of life? Lord Jesus said: “Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me” (John 15:4).


Dearly beloved, to abide in Lord Jesus Christ is to obey Him. He says, “If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love (John 15:10). Those who love Him will keep His commandments. Therefore, we must run the race of faith with endurance to receive the eternal reward.


Prayer:


Loving Lord Jesus,


Thank You for granting me your salvation. You have redeemed me through your precious blood. I thank You for your sacrifice. Help me to obey your commandments and lead a holy life. Give me the grace to abide in You that I may inherit your blessings. Enable me to run the race of faith in endurance that I may receive the eternal reward. I give You all honour, glory and praise.

Today's Word of Blessing



GLORY-FILLED LIVING
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.    (Mathew 5:9)
Dearly beloved, God will grant us exalted blessings in our lives. All of a sudden, the angel of the Lord met Mary, the mother of Lord Jesus. He greeted her saying: "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you" (Luke 1:28).

In the same way, God greets us today with His blessings. God will then make us arise and shine. He will cover us with His blessings. Even now, as we read these words, His presence will shine upon us. His glory will be seen in us. What a blessed state is this! We are special in the sight of God.

God wants us to live for His glory. We must spread the love of God through our lives. The Bible says, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God”(Mathew 5:9). It also counsels, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world” (James 1:27). “Snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear--hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh” (Jude 23). So, let us be careful to keep ourselves clean and spotless without being polluted in this foul and sordid world.

Let us commit ourselves to God, so that our thoughts, words and deeds may all well be clean and holy. Let us live with a zealous resolve that we should be holy even as He is holy. God will then be proud of us. Let us be wary of keeping the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Now, wherever we see, there are only divisions. But what does the Lord say? “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God” (Matthew 5:9). “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone” (Romans 12:18).

So, let us be wary of pursuing peace with all men (Hebrews 12:14), and keeping the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:3). Let us always receive the perfect peace which God gives and discard all divisions and disputes, conflicts and combats. Let us make the Lord happy by maintaining unity in our families, fellowship in our churches, concord and harmony in our workplaces and oneness in our ministry, giving due respect to everyone. God’s presence will then be in our midst. He will keep us as the apple of His eye and cover us with glory.

We see the mother of Lord Jesus Christ passing through several sufferings right from the beginning. Before her Son performed His first miracle in the wedding at Cana, she told Him- with the right of any mother to tell her son- that they had run short of wine. But what did the Lord say? "Dear woman, why do you involve me?" Jesus replied. "My time has not yet come" (John 2:4).

Similarly, Simeon told her prophetically: “And a sword will pierce your own soul too" (Luke 2:35). Accordingly, though her life was full of suffering, she received right to the end, the blessings given to her by the Lord. It was because amidst all her sufferings God kept her as the apple of His eye. Yes! It is only through sufferings that we can be glorified (Romans 8:17).

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

My highest purpose in life is to glorify You. I honour You with my praises. Help me to live a worthy life, pleasing You in all respects. Enable me to live in peace with everyone. Enable me to be kind to others. Help me to lead the lost souls to your presence. I will live to glorify You. Give me overwhelming joy and keep me as the apple of your eye.
