SEEING GOD’S GLORY
But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit. (1 Corinthians 6:17)
Mary Magdalene gave up all her earthly interests and firmly followed the Lord. She ministered to Him as best as she could. But there was a big shock awaiting her. She closely watched Lord Jesus being nailed on the cross and buried in a tomb. Her mind was badly shattered.
On the third day after His death, early in the morning, she went to His tomb to find it empty. Mistaking the risen Christ for the gardener, she told Him: “Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have put Him, and I will get Him" (John 20:15).
Many years ago, my husband Bro. D.G.S. Dhinakaran and I had been to the place where Lord Jesus was buried in a tomb. Verily, the presence of God filled the place. The tomb of Lord Jesus looked like a cave in a corner of a huge garden.
On stepping into that garden, I very much realized the presence of God which brought tears to my eyes. Sorrow and affliction choked my throat. Nearby, I noticed a woman with a Bible in her hand crying profusely. On seeing her I cried all the more.
My husband and I cried out in prayer at the same place where Mary Magdalene had once stood crying: "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb” (John 20:2).
All others who had stood beside the tomb of Lord Jesus had gone. But she was there early in the morning. The risen Christ, on seeing her love and loyalty, asked her: "Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?" (John 20:15) and revealed Himself for the first time to her. This poor woman had a privilege denied even to the closest disciples of Christ.
The Bible says, “But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit” (1 Corinthians 6:17). When you live in fellowship with God, you will see His glory in your life. You shall receive His abundant blessings.
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
I seek You with all my heart. I place my faith in You. I choose to follow You and live for your glory. Please come and live in me. Give me the grace to abide in your love. Reveal your glory in my life. May I receive your abundant blessings in my life.
I ask this through Christ our Lord
Amen.
