Today's Word of Blessing

A USEFUL VESSELStella Dhinakaran

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.    (Matthew 6:33)
Dearly beloved, you are God’s chosen vessel.

Lord Jesus Christ spoke in the following manner about the poor widow who put two coins as her offering: “All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on” (Luke 21:4).

In another place, a sinful woman poured perfume on the head of Lord Jesus and wiped His feet with her tears. Lord Jesus testified about her saying, “I tell you the truth, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her” (Mark 14:9).

While Lord Jesus Christ sojourned on this earth, He fed more than five thousand people by multiplying the five loaves of bread and the two fish brought by a little boy (Matthew 14:17-21). He performed such a mighty miracle.

Like that little boy when you too come forward to do all that you can for the Lord, He will do great things through you also. When you plead with God to fill you, your home and your work spot with His presence, He will surely do it. He will bless you and your family in an abundant measure.

It is nearly 27 years since my daughter Angel died. Even today, I shed tears whenever I think about her. But today, God has given countless people who love me like their own sister or like their own mother. The Lord has enabled us to taste the true love of these dear ones through this tragedy. Now we know how many people are praying sincerely for us. The Lord has also placed a burden in our hearts to work with more vigour for Him so that we can arise and shine for Him.

A few sisters known to me kept on asking me to write a book exclusively for women. But I hesitated to do it. As I was going through the agony of losing my daughter, the Lord graciously enabled me to write a book entitled ‘Priceless Pearl’ in that same year. Then He guided me to write many more books. Yes, the Lord will never let you down when you go through afflictions and agony. He will grant you the necessary grace to do at least something for Him.

Dearly beloved, the Bible says, “The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation” (Isaiah 60:22). Accordingly, it is God’s desire to use you even though you are the least one. Are you hesitating to do the ministry on account of your financial status? But it is God’s desire to do great and mighty things through you.

The Bible says, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33). Seek the Lord wholeheartedly. Then He will use you as His mighty vessel for His glory. He will also give everything you need.

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus,

I seek You wholeheartedly. I choose to serve You faithfully. Deliver me from my afflictions and strengthen me by your grace. Bless me and my family in an abundant measure. Give me the grace to arise and shine for You. Use me as a vessel to bring glory to your name.

I ask this through Christ our Lord

Amen.
