GOD DELIGHTS TO BLESS YOUPaul Dhinakaran
I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make
your name great, and you will be a blessing. (Genesis 12:2)
God desires to place His blessings upon you (Numbers 6:24-26). God gave a commandment to Moses asking Aaron, his brother, the High Priest to pronounce three blessings upon His people.
Whenever people gather to worship God, Aaron was supposed to pronounce those three blessings on behalf of God upon His people.
Dear Friend! God desires to place His divine blessings upon His beloved children. The pastor on behalf of God places these three blessings upon His people and they come to rest on the people of God.
Numbers 6:24 says, “The Lord bless you and keep you.” If you read Genesis 12:2, it is always God’s desire that we should be blessed. You must always remember that it is God’s desire to bless you. He will not only bless you on this day but will keep you blessed forever (Psalm 1:3). Whatever you do shall prosper.
A lawyer named Lionel Luckhoo faced many cases in the Supreme Court and he won in all the cases. He testified for the glory of God in a big convention. Before going to the court he would lay his hands on the case bundle and pray, “Lord! This is not my battle. You please fight for me.” Therefore, he won all the cases.
The Queen of England knighted him as Sir Lionel Luckhoo conferring upon him the highest title. On this day, God is eager to bless you and keep you blessed always. When does this blessing come upon us? This blessing comes upon us when our soul is blessed. The Bible says, “The LORD will keep you from all harm-- he will watch over your life” (Psalm 121:7).
When our soul is blessed, every other blessing follows us. Lord Jesus Christ says, “"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33). Therefore, whenever you gather to worship God and honour Him, your soul is being blessed and it prospers.
The Bible asks, “What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? Mark 8:36). You can rule the whole world but if you do not save your soul, it will not be of any profit to you. Therefore, God says, “When you come to worship Me, I will bless your soul and prosper it.” Shall we seek the Lord diligently and remind ourselves that we ought to remember to say, “God desires to bless me today.”
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
I seek You with all my heart. You alone are the incomparable God. You are the One who does miracles and mighty acts without number. For with you nothing is impossible. I trust that my help comes from You the maker of Heaven and Earth. I place this entire month into Your loving hands. Please bless me and keep me, make Your face shine up me and grant me Your divine peace.
I ask this through Christ our Lord
Amen.
